Water Way To Go

Afternoon everyone!

Our bodies are made up of about 70% water, blood contains 85% water, the brain is made up of 80% water, our muscles contain around 75% water and our cells contain around 90% water. So how much do we help our body keep those levels optimized?

Do we really drink 2 litres minimum of water a day? Most of us would say no to that question because we don't walk around with a water bottle strapped to our hip.

Doctors will always say "drink more water", and nutritional advisors will always ask people how much of it they drink and more often than not the response is a darting of eyes around the room and an excuse begins to formulate in the brain along the lines of "im just too busy", "water doesn't taste good", "i'm water intollerant".

What is the motivation to consume vast quantities of tasteless, colourless, alcohol-free liquid? Well think of it as less a requriement and more a method of ENHANCING life. These are just two sites of the hundreds of pieces of information that tell us how amazing water is;

The general trend of these websites is that water REDUCES FATIGUE, thereby making us less sleepy, helps our muscles go that extra mile without the need for supplements. Water also RAISES METABOLISM which is great news for people trying to lose weight. Metabolism is the key to losing weight and whilst exercising helps, water helps the body digest food and helps absorb the good stuff we need. Water lastly IMPROVES GENERAL HEALTH. H20 helps lubricate joints, reduces the rate of headaches and keeps colds away.

Lastly for people like me who just can't stop snacking, drinking a glass (or two) of water supresses the hunger pangs. Water tricks the stomach into thinking its full and helps you resist those pringles and twiglets...and Krispy Kremes...and glorious Kit Kat Chunkys.....*drinks a pint of water*. All better now!

See water as a way of taking that extra step to making your diet fantastic and streamlined. It's free, it's easy to get (unless for some reason you haven't paid your utility bills) and so good for you that it should be bottled and sold at ridiculous prices....wait.. Evian you bastard!

Have waterful day!
